I decided that if I had some ‘tax’money leftovers’ I would treat myself with a trip to TOKYO.
And I did.. I could post all the 500 pictures I took in only 1 week, and it would not be enough to show how great this trip was. I told my friend over and over again, that if I could just capture this LOVING feeling, that was all around the city, but ‘was just not able to (eventhough I bought a SUPER cam). I can happily say, that this is the city where I have met the most friendly people ever. Very polite, helpful and very humble without being too much. I was very imppressed by this HUGE city with so many citizens and still SO clean!
I payed so little for the ticket and stayed at a friends house, which off course made it much cheaper. I stayed a week, and that was far from enough. This city has so much to offer, for whatever you may need. My favourite places was off course Harajuku, this part of the city had everything I ever dreamed of, so many nice shops, which looked like little fairytale tellings, but one night we went out to try out these amazing small ‘customized’ bars in an area called Shimokitazawa. This you won’t find anywhere else but in Tokyo (I think, I still have some parts of the globe left)
For the shopping part I got carried away and ended up only getting ‘dressed out’ maid costumes and pink ballerina dresses and hairstuff (which I NEVER wear) but also they have the most amazing vintage shops, I found a Pearl jam tee from 1991 SO cool and one of the first samples of the In Utero Nirvana Tee, but at that time I had already maxed out my card, but what the F*!! How ofte are you in Japan?? So for the vintage tee shopping Harajuku rocks!
This city has a way of animating almost everything, all signs including caution signs are animated in some nice way, for everybody to understand and always with colours. And on top of that, you have music everywhere you go, it gives so much life to the city and I LOVE THAT!
I was a sucker for all the kiddy stuff, and the colours where really good on my new super cam and it just looks cute!
This city got me, and I can’t wait to go back!!

I am definately going back as soon as possible. This place is amazing, but I heard that the second time you go, should be much better, since you have an understanding of how this city works. So I can’t wait!!

well, we continue this in English
Yep, heard the same, but not only Tokyo is great, we went to Kyoto, Osaka and Nagoya as well, all fantastic in their way. We genuinely loved it and it wasn’t half as expensive as people kept trying to tell us. Hotels can be found at reasonable prices not to mention food which costs next to nothing compared to Danish restaurant prices… even when you know your way around Copenhagen and find the good, cheap off-the-beaten-track restaurants, there’s no comparison.
